Overview of responsibilities
Hi I'm Charenne Collymore, I am responsible for ensuring that our residents, including general needs customers and those with additional requirements such as mobility, hearing, and visual impairments, receive the support they need. My duties include coordinating housing arrangements, facilitating access to necessary services, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents.
Overall, my role is to create a supportive and integrated living environment, where all customers can thrive regardless of their individual challenges. This comprehensive approach ensures that our community remains a welcoming and safe place for everyone.
How has your career progressed?
I joined Bromford in 2019, initially as a temporary maternity cover in a non-customer facing role. Recognising my potential it was suggested that I explored a permanent role within Bromford. This advice led me to my current position, where I now focus on helping elderly and vulnerable individuals, ensuring they receive the care and support they need. This role has been incredibly rewarding, as it allows me to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents, offering more personal interaction and a sense of fulfilment.
What do you consider the most significant benefit of working for Bromford?
The most significant benefit of working for Bromford has been the opportunity to be part of a supportive and compassionate community. The company culture prioritises the well-being of both employees and customers, creating a nurturing environment for professional growth. One of the standout aspects is the flexible working arrangements, which have been invaluable to me as a single mother. Bromford's understanding and accommodating approach has allowed me to balance work and personal responsibilities effectively, especially during challenging times. The ability to work from home and adjust my hours has enabled me to fulfil my role as a parent while building my career within Bromford.
The organisation recognises employees as individuals with lives outside of work, and this trust empowers me to manage my workload and time. This supportive culture not only fosters well-being but also encourages high engagement and commitment.
No two days are the same, and it's about making a real difference in people's lives, which I find incredibly rewarding.
