    Neighbourhood Coach

Overview of responsibilities

Hi I'm Maggie! My current role is a neighbourhood coach, and I started this role towards the end of 2021.

In this role, I manage approximately 200 properties. My role involves managing tenancies, conducting quarterly block inspections, and collaborating with various external agencies such as the council, police, and charitable organisations.

Additionally, I support our customers in thriving within their homes by working with organisations such as Home Seeker Plus.

How has your career progressed?

I joined Bromford after working as a freelance language interpreter and with a housing charity. Initially, the transition was slow as it was a different role from what I was used to.

However, Bromford's reputation for providing flexible working conditions and being a supportive employer attracted me. I have received career development opportunities such as shadowing.

Recently, I applied for and secured a new role as a Landscaping Team Leader. This new position aligns with my background in forestry, where I will be managing a team of 12 landscapers and maintaining communal areas for our customers.

Bromford's reputation for providing flexible working conditions and being a supportive employer attracted me.

What do you consider the most significant benefit of working for Bromford?

The flexibility that Bromford offers is crucial for me as a single parent.

The company’s trust in colleagues allows for a balanced work-life situation where I can manage school activities and work responsibilities without excessive stress.

The support from my leader and team has been irreplaceable, enabling me to thrive both as a parent and a professional. This supportive environment has helped my growth and development within the Bromford.
