Pay and financial wellbeing

It’s important to us that our colleagues feel they get paid fairly for the roles they do. So, we regularly benchmark salaries and review our pay each year to make sure it’s always competitive. As well as this, we offer:

  • Performance Related Pay bonus that rewards colleagues based on the organisation’s success as well as individual performance
  • a choice of pensions, with employer contribution rates of up to 10% of your salary
  • life assurance cover
  • an annual allowance of £500 which you can use towards a choice of benefits including private medical cover, dental treatment and gym membership
  • an online reward portal where you can save money on your shopping bills and receive cashback on purchases; everything from weekly supermarket shops to booking your next summer holiday

For some roles we may also provide:

  • a car or car allowance
  • a fully equipped van and fuel
  • a monthly allowance so you can buy drinks while you’re out and about in your role

Work-life balance

We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance, and so for many of our roles, colleagues work their hours in a flexible, trust based way. In these jobs you are not bound by core hours or start and finish times; but you can work flexibly, as long as your work is completed.

Other ways we encourage a positive work-life balance include:

  • hybrid working for many of our roles, meaning each week you can work from one of our workspaces as well as from home
  • a generous holiday allowance of 27 days, which is in addition to the usual public holidays
  • the opportunity to buy or sell up to five days of holiday allowance each year
  • enhanced family leave policies

Our DNA

Life’s better when we all do what we say and say what we do. Working in an open and honest environment gives you the freedom to get on with your job without worrying about making mistakes or being open about your ideas and feedback. This gives you a great place to learn, grow and achieve. If something goes wrong, you can always ask for help. If you’ve got an idea, there’s always someone to listen. And if you need a little push, there’s always someone there to motivate you.

We give people the opportunity to create a brighter future for themselves. Whether it’s learning new skills to excel in your existing role or climbing the leadership ladder to help colleagues achieve even greater outcomes. Right across the business, from leaders to apprentices, we’re continually investing in personal development meaning you’ll have every opportunity to discover your full potential, whatever that may be. We’re ambitious about the future. Our people are too. So, if you’ve got that burning desire to better yourself, you’ll never look back and neither will we.

Almost every choice you make here has the power to change someone’s life for the better. This is a big opportunity to make a real difference, so don’t waste it playing it safe. We empower you to empower others by giving you the freedom to think for yourself, try new things and challenge convention. It’s not always easy. But pushing yourself to do more, go further and think differently will bring out the best in you – and the people we want to see thriving.

Every single one of our customers is unique. And so are you. Being able to express yourself at work helps you connect with people and perform better at your job. Life experience, interests and emotions are the bricks that build real relationships between customers and colleagues. Don’t leave these things at home: put them to work with us, and you’ll enjoy a successful and rewarding career.

Diversity statement

We are committed to recruiting, developing and retaining colleagues who are representative of the diverse communities we work with. This commitment is embedded in our DNA, and we are striving to build an inclusive workplace culture where all colleagues feel valued and respected, and individuality is celebrated. We are a proud Disability Confident (Level 2) employer, and are certified by Great Place to Work as one of the UK's Best Places to Work for Women.

We encourage people from all sections of our community to apply for jobs with us. Particularly, we welcome those who have been historically underrepresented in areas of our workforce including people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
