Fences between your property and another Bromford property

Responsibility for the replacement and repair of the fence is normally shared equally (50/50) with you and your neighbour. You should not assume that the fence to your left is your responsibility. 

Fences between your property and property or land not owned by Bromford

You will need to look at your deeds to determine boundary ownership. If you do not have access to your deeds, you can contact the land registry for a copy. If the deeds are not clear or do not mention the boundary ownership, then you will need to speak to your neighbour and arrange who is responsible for the fence and the cost of the replacement or repair.  It is often accepted that it is a shared responsibility where there is no other evidence.
