What attracted you to Bromford’s graduate scheme?

I had previously worked for Bromford for three months in the finance team while I was at university so I knew a bit about them. I was already in a graduate role when I saw the advert on LinkedIn for this position and immediately felt that this was the role for me and that it was time to move to Bromford.

What have you enjoyed about the role so far?

I have been working with the fleet team and looking into the electrification of our fleet of vehicles for our engineers. Obviously there is a move towards vehicles becoming electric and I have been looking at the cost and efficiencies of it, seeing which engineers would be best suited to having an electric vehicle, seeing where charge points are located within each area. There’s a lot to consider when you look into it, it’s not just a case of buying vehicles and giving them to the engineers. I’ve been looking at how many miles each engineer generally does during a day, because if they would have to constantly charge their vehicle then it probably isn’t best for them. This project has been really interesting so far and there will be other projects that I will be working on in the future.

I’ve also enjoyed meeting up with the other graduates to do activities and work on projects with them. We meet up a lot and do things that you wouldn’t normally get to do. I’ve been working on a cost of living toolkit with Kate which has been great to be involved in because it’s such an important topic right now to Bromford and its customers.

What advice would you give to applicants?

I think Bromford is a great place for a graduate who wants to develop themselves and learn more about a business than just your role. As well as my normal role I’ve been involved in the cost of living group and one of the equality, diversity and inclusion groups as well. So, if you’re looking to develop as an individual there are so many opportunities out there. And there’s loads of perks as well and options that show you how much Bromford cares about colleagues.

Everything that you do within Bromford always relates to the current situation which makes you realise that they are keeping up-to-date with what customers and colleagues are going through.
