Bromford is partnering with Job Centre Plus and the Chamber of Commerce for the first time to host a Jobs and Careers Fair in Lichfield on 21 March.
The event is expected to attract a few hundred job seekers who will have the opportunity to speak to local employers manning 35 stands. Employers already booked to attend include Tesco’s in Lichfield, UPS in Tamworth, the NHS, Novus Solutions, Digital Native who are offering IT apprenticeships, Fairway Homecare, St Giles Care Agency and the National Careers Service.
Michael Pritchard, Skills Manager at Bromford said: “We are looking forward to seeing lots of people attend and to making this a real success. It’s great to see all the employers who have already booked to take part and we’re thankful for their support.”
This demonstrates how Bromford plays a key role in connecting local people to local jobs. Bromford wants to help local people to make the most of the opportunities available and make a difference to their lives.
Marilyn Castree, Director for the Lichfield & Tamworth Chamber of Commerce & Industry added: “We are fully supportive of the work Bromford has undertaken to put this Job Fair on the map and bring to the area some real value to local companies, and those individuals who are genuinely seeking work. The Chamber is committed to ensuring the Job Fair is a success and would encourage local businesses who may have vacancies attend on the day.”
Alan Palmer, Employer Manager at Jobcentre Plus said: “Jobcentre Staff will be at the Fair to promote services, opportunities and offer signposting advice to local and national vacancies from employers that cannot make it to the Fair. We're looking forward to a successful event and continuing to work in partnership with Bromford in the future.”
Michael Fabricant, MP for Lichfield, has endorsed the event by saying: “I fully support Bromford and its Careers Fair. Bromford is to be congratulated for initiating this.”
