Bromford has become the newest member of PlaceShapers – a network of more than 100 community-based housing associations across England.
Described by Inside Housing as ‘one of the most high profile lobbying bodies in the sector’, PlaceShapers is an alliance of organisations that share the same values and work together with partners at a local level to build homes, strengthen communities and deliver results with lasting impact.
Bromford, which describes itself as a people business rather than a property business, feels PlaceShapers is a perfect fit following the launch of their new strategy and investment in a programme which sees a greater focus at local level.
Chief executive Philippa Jones said: “We are delighted to be joining the PlaceShapers gang and have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome we’ve received from members so far. Being part of a strong, values-led voice to promote what we believe in is tremendously exciting and we feel that PlaceShapers’ ethos of starting local fits intrinsically with our own.
“We work in a very open and collaborative way and we are looking forward to listening to what others in the sector are successfully spearheading as well as sharing our own learning in the months ahead.”
