Bromford’s work in transforming its relationship with customers while continuing to demonstrate value for money has been recognised in two prestigious awards.
Our commitment to testing and developing new services, and in particular the rollout of localities, was ‘highly commended’ in London last night (8th Feb) at the Housing Innovation Awards 2017. Localities has put a new neighbourhood coach role at the heart of each community with the aim of getting to know each and every customer and working with them to achieve their aspirations.
Locality manager Helen Minchin collected our framed certificate in the ‘Most innovative housing provider – over 10,000 properties’ category as Stockport Homes picked up top prize. Bromford’s MyPlace model of supported housing was also shortlisted as a finalist alongside four other housing associations.
And our accolades didn’t stop there with the 2017 Social Value Awards also ‘highly commending’ Bromford in the ‘Demonstrating value for money’ category yesterday.
John Wade, Bromford’s director of strategy, said: “Reading through our submission on the train reminded me just what a journey we’ve been on at Bromford in the last few years. It was so lovely to get some recognition for all the hard work, thinking, testing and risk taking that so many have contributed to and continue to do.
“Localities is all about the new kind of relationship we want to have with our customers and we’re in it for the long haul. It’s about a lasting relationship rather than a quick fix. We want that relationship to be open, honest and to help people be their best and achieve their goals.
“It’s a journey which we’ve only just started out on but the highly commended is recognition of all the hard work already being put in by our neighbourhood coaches and their customers.”
