Thirty budding plumbers have visited a new housing development to get some vital on-the-job experience

The SGS College students took a short walk from their Filton campus to the building site on neighbouring Rodney Crescent, where we are currently building 17 new homes. Together with our contractors United Living, we invited two groups of students to have a tour round the houses and flats being built, giving them a chance to check out the pipework in the new homes.

SGS students tour our building site in FiltonProject manager Ellen Copeland said: “The students had a great time having a look under the skin of a home and seeing the quality homebuilders expect from plumbers. To meet our homebuilding ambitions for the years ahead we will need to work with skilled professionals to help us building quality homes and are keen to support students as they take the first steps in their careers in the industry.

“We’re really pleased with how the work has gone so far on site and are looking forward to welcoming customers into these new homes later this year.”
Bromford is building 17 new homes at Rodney Crescent to replace eight of its former properties on the site. The old properties had deteriorated since they were built in the post-war period.

The homes are due to be completed in August, some of 1,300 new homes that we aim to build over the next 12 months.
