Our homebuilding ambitions received a pre-Christmas boost as we signed up to 12 new contracts in the week before the holidays.

The new housing schemes will deliver in excess of 350 new affordable homes, to be built at various locations across the Midlands and south west. Nine of the contracts are for homes which will be built in partnership with regional and national housebuilders, including Linden , Taylor Wimpey and Piper Homes through section 106 agreements. The homes at the other three sites will be built by our in-house construction team BDL.

The contracts form part of our Bromford Strategy, to build 6,500 new affordable homes between 2019 to 2023 part of our ongoing commitment to tackle the housing crisis.

Development director Amanda Swann said: “We’re delighted to have finalised these contracts which mean over the course of the next few years 350 families will have a new, affordable place to call home.

“We’ve got ambitious plans to build thousands of new homes over the years ahead. In the current financial year our goal is to build 1,000 homes, but next year we want to build even more and will be aiming to deliver 1,300 affordable homes. While we want to build more of these homes with our in-house team, we will continue to work in partnership with housebuilders to ensure we meet our targets and provide homes for those who need them.”

The new homes will be a mixture of rented and shared ownership homes, plus 21 for outright sale in Leigh Sinton. For more details about all our homes available to buy visit our sales page.
