A flagship housing development in Worcestershire is expected to open its show home by the end of the year, after construction work restarted last month following the coronavirus lockdown.

Bromford is building 30 homes, a mixture of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes in Ombersley. It’s the first significant new development to be built in the village for years, with the majority available to buy and the remaining homes being rented by the housing association.

Construction is also underway at a second development by Bromford in Worcestershire where a collection of 35 new homes is being built on the outskirts of the village of Leigh Sinton on Hereford Road. The homes are a mixture of two, three- and four-bedroom homes which will be available to buy and a number of homes managed for rent.

Catherine Jarrett, sales and marketing director, said: “With show homes for each development due around the end of the year, I’m delighted that we’ll be announcing an early bird scheme for both Kings Croft and Bluebell Walk later this month. This will give an opportunity for customers who are proceedable to have first refusal on their choice of home by putting down a fully-refundable deposit. The annnouncement this week of a temporary stamp duty cut - raising the threshold to properties costing £500,000 or less until 31 March next year - sends a clear message of confidence to buyers looking to move to a new home:
