Bromford is partnering with Jobcentre Plus and Burntwood library to host their first jobs fair in Burntwood on 9 June.

Job seekers are invited to the first jobs fair to be hosted at Burntwood library where they will have the opportunity to speak to local employers manning 21 stands. Employers attending the event include Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, Debenhams, South Staffs College and the Army Reserves. There will also be a wide variety of employers from the care, construction, sports, housing and security industries so there should be something to suit most people and with all the employers offering ‘live’ job opportunities there’s every chance of gaining employment.

As well as the more ‘traditional’ vacancies, companies such as ARISE and Utility Warehouse will be on hand to discuss working from home and opportunities to become self-employed. If you see yourself as a mystery shopper you could have a chat with Retail Maxim who may be able to help you out or if you’re looking for an apprenticeship you should head over to the Fire and Rescue Service and Sports Structures stands.

With agencies offering support to major local companies looking for employees there is also the chance to find out more about the opportunities on offer from companies on your doorstep.

Michael Pritchard, skills manager at Bromford said: “We are looking forward to seeing lots of people attend and to making this a real success. It’s great to see all the employers who are taking part and we’re thankful for their support.”

This event is open to anyone in the local area who is looking for work and demonstrates how Bromford plays a key role in connecting local people to local jobs. Bromford wants to help people to make the most of the opportunities available and make a difference to their lives.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 9 June at Burntwood Library, Sankeys Corner, Burnwood, WS7 2BX between 10am and midday.
