Winter is on its way, and with it there will be particular issues you may have to contend with, for example, dealing with damp, mould and condensation.
This is something that we recognise you might need help with and we understand that it’s not always as simple as turning on the heating, as some of you may feel that you can’t afford to fire up the boiler.
So, to help you plan for winter, and to deal with the challenges that the season can bring, we’re running an online campaign starting in November and taking you through to February next year.
Over the next few months you can expect to see articles, hints and tips relating to household repairs, money advice, property maintenance and budgeting. We’ll also be sharing information to help with your physical and emotional wellbeing as well as lifestyle ideas including recipes, decorating and gardening tips.
You’ll find recommendations from our experts, as well as hints and tips ‘from the street.’ There’ll also be ‘How To’ videos and links to sites offering specialist help and information.
All the information shared during the campaign can be found by following the hashtag #WinterWellbeing but because we’re covering such a broad range of subjects, you’ll also be able to follow separate hashtags to help you search for what’s most relevant to you and your family.
Watch out for the following on our social media channels:
- #MyHome - Repairs and maintenance
- #MyMoney - Budgeting and money advice
- #MyCommunity - Social events and helping vulnerable neighbours
- #MyLife - Recipes, gardening and parties
So, whether you have a problem with your heating, need help with budgeting, are feeling lonely and isolated, or are simply looking for gardening or recipe ideas, our winter campaign should be able to offer the help you need.
Remember to watch out for those hashtags, and please feel free to get involved.
