We recently welcomed Gloucestershire County Councillor and Cabinet Member for Environment and Planning, David Gray to our biggest Bromford-built development in Winchcombe.
The councillor was joined by Bromford colleagues as he visited our development at Merret Place in Winchcombe. The £30m development is located off Delavale Road and will be a mixture of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes for rent, shared ownership and outright sale. Our in-house construction team started work on site in the autumn and will complete the development in phases over the years ahead.
Councillor Gray said: “It’s great to be at the Merret Place development where we’re going to see 100 new homes which are very much needed for the local community.”
Scott Finnegan, site manager at Merret Place added: “We’re very excited to be involved in a development like Merret Place, delivering homes accessible to all people in Winchcombe and the surrounding areas.”
The new homes will be designed with modern living in mind, with high energy-efficiency and plenty of space for remote working, while selected homes will have electric vehicle charging points installed.
Catherine Jarrett, director of sales and marketing at Bromford, said, “It’s great to welcome Councillor Gray to site to discuss plans for our largest Bromford-built development, and we are incredibly excited for work to have officially commenced here.
“Winchcombe is a fantastic area with an intriguing mix of history and community with many lovely rural walks on its doorstep.
“All of the homes will be built to a high specification, and we expect them to be incredibly popular, therefore we would highly recommend any who is interested to get in touch right away to avoid missing out on a great home.”
