Customers are getting ready to move into their new homes as our latest development nears completion.

We’ve acquired 21 of the apartments being built by Dandara Living at their Stafford Yard development in Bedminster in Bristol. Sixteen of the homes will be available for social rent, while the remaining five are available for shared ownership, with four already sold and just one home remaining – find out more information at www.bromfordhomes.co.uk. Our homes, which all have air source heat pumps, are due to be handed over to us in January.

Situated on a former brownfield site within the Bedminster Green Framework Area, Stafford Yard occupies a prime location within this rapidly developing neighbourhood, just south of the city centre and Temple Meads train station.

Last month local ward councillors Tony Dyer (Leader of Bristol City Council) and Christine Townsend joined colleagues from Dandara and Bromford to view the new homes. Cllr Dyer said: “Bristol continues to battle with the housing crisis. The Council is making real strides to address this profoundly important issue for our community, and it is great to see both Dandara Living and Bromford finally getting ready to open the doors to hundreds of new residents.

“Having a safe and warm place to call home is a basic human right. These lovely, energy-efficient and well-designed homes will provide secure tenancies for hundreds of people. Completing Stafford Yard is a really important milestone for the important Bedminster Green regeneration.”

Wyn Bevan, Bromford’s head of development added: “The need for affordable housing in Bristol should not be underestimated and as one of the country’s leading providers of affordable homes, we’re committed to playing our part in meeting this demand. This development will provide high-quality rental homes for people who are unable to afford market rent properties and shared ownership homes for first-time buyers.

“Dandara Living has done a great job regenerating this site adjacent to East Street in Bedminster. Securing planning permission and building new homes on a complex brownfield site like this can be a time-consuming and complicated process, so the Dandara Living team should be commended for working tirelessly to get this over the line.”

Rachel Allwood, Dandara Living’s Planning Director said: “We’re delighted that by spring next year we will be able to open the doors for new residents to move into our Stafford Yard development."
