In February 2025 we wrote to customers living in Woodmans Close in Chipping Sodbury to let them know about our plans to regenerate their homes to allow us to replace them with new, affordable housing.
Our properties in Woodmans Close were built using non-traditional construction methods in the post-war period as a quick solution to the housing crisis. Over recent years their condition has deteriorated and they are expensive for our customers to heat and are suffering from structural issues which have been causing condensation, damp and mould.
After investigating the issues in the properties we have decided that the best option now is to find new homes for the customers living in these properties to enable their demolition so we can replace them with modern, energy efficient homes
