Beacon Court exteriorBeacon Court, Sedgley

Beacon Court is a complex of 71 high-quality two bedroom apartments which have been designed specifically for people aged over 55 with visual impairments, although we do welcome residents with other disabilities or needs.

Each apartment includes a fitted kitchen, with built-in oven with grill, hob and extractor fan, a walk-in shower room with level access facilities, telephone and TV points in the lounge and master bedroom. Properties have gas central heating and double glazing throughout. There’s warden call and door entry systems and mains operated smoke detectors to provide peace of mind. Customers can also enjoy the landscaped communal gardens and a sensory garden in the complex’s courtyard.

Our homes are part of a wider complex which includes the Beacon Centre for the Blind, a state-of-the-art specialist centre which offers a range of health and wellbeing activities for people from across the West Midlands experiencing various stages of sight loss. The centre includes craft rooms, an IT suite and gym and is open to residents and the wider community. It runs regular activities including pottery, art, woodwork, computer skills, swimming, fishing and indoor bowls. In the evenings you can unwind with friends and neighbours in the bar or just relax in your safe, secure home.
