    Regulator for Social Housing (RSH)

    The objectives of the Regulator are set out in the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008. RSH regulates private registered providers of social housing to promote a viable, efficient and well-governed social housing sector able to deliver homes that meet a range of needs. We perform our functions in a way that minimises interference and is proportionate, consistent, transparent and accountable.

    The Homes and Communities Agency is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. One of the statutory committees of the HCA is the Regulation Committee, which is responsible for the regulation of social housing.

    The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

    Regulates the UK financial services industry, including consumer credit activity and is the registrar for UK mutual societies, including registered societies.

    Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

    The Information Commissioner's Office is an independent authority, set up to regulate Data Protection in the UK.

    National Housing Federation (NHF)

    The National Housing Federation (NHF) represents the work of housing associations and campaigns for better housing. NHF members provide two and a half million homes for more than five million people.

    Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH)

    A professional body for people working in housing in the UK. Promotes the provision and management of good quality, affordable housing.

    Housing Ombudsman

    The Housing Ombudsman Service is set up by law to look at complaints about Registered Providers of social housing.

    Companies House

    The UK registrar of companies and an executive agency of the UK government.

    HMRC

    The HMRC are the UK’s Tax authority. They are also one of the supervisory authorities for the Money Laundering Regulations 2007.
